WCLK hosts two student recruitment and orientation events.  One held in Spring semester  January 2018 and the other held in the fall semester September 2018 for those interested in volunteering,  internships

WCLK routinely conducts training workshops for members of the community who are interested in learning production or becoming on air talent.  Many citizens work as voice over talent for the station.

WCLK routinely trains students to work at its HD3 internet streaming station.  Students fill positions of manager, sales, promotions, marketing, and production and on air talent.

Established training programs designed to enable station personnel to acquire skills that could qualify them for higher level positions.

In 2018 Management level personnel attended the Public Media Development Conference in Chicago in an effort to stay abreast cutting edge and state of the art industry trends to ensure they and the station are marketable.  Management also attended the Super Regional Public Media Conference in Atlanta during October 2018. Both conferences offer skilled and advanced training for staff to compete for higher level positions in the station and industrywide.

Provided training to management level personnel on methods of ensuring equal employment opportunity and prevent discrimination.

WCLK and its licensee, Clark Atlanta University, as a mandate from CPB, provided a six hour Everifi training module on sexual harassment and discrimination in the workplace.  All 30 staff, 10 volunteers and 6 students were required to take the training.  All were awarded all certificates of completion.  The training was taken electronically during October 2018.

WCLK routinely conducts tours for girl and boy scout troops, high school and performing arts, and other student groups locally and nationally to visit station and see firsthand the live broadcast and streaming operations. Typically the station provides six or more tours annually to groups that request a visit.
