This week on The Local Take on WCLK we feature conversations from an event I attended in June--the Atlanta Braves Hank Aaron Heritage Week and press conference held at the Center for Civil and Human Rights. The 2018 honorees included former US Attorney General Eric Holder, Sports Reporter Emeritus at NBC Bob Costas and the Man himself Hammering Hank Aaron along with the mayor of San Juan, Puerto Rico Carmen Yulin Cruz. We discussed topics including NFL player protests, the declining numbers of black baseball players, and the fact that Henry Aaron was not just a baseball hero, but a Civil Rights hero, too.
Listen now to the remarks from Eric Holder, Bob Costas and Hank Aaron.
