True Colors Theatre Company Presents 'DOT' starring Densie Burse

Kenny Leon True Colors Theatre Company
Denise Burse

Kenny Leon's True Colors Theatre Company presents Colman Domingo's dramedy DOT. It takes place July 17 through August 12 at the Southwest Arts Center.

In the Shealy house, Christmas means a time for family gatherings. Only this holiday, Dotty and her three grown children gather with more than the holiday spirit in mind. As Dotty struggles to hold on to her failing memory, her children must fight to balance care for their mother and care for themselves. Crackling with humor, this lucid comedy grapples with aging parents, midlife crises, and the heart of an urban West Philly neighborhood.

Check out this weekend's UPFRONT interview with Burse as she talks about how taking care of her stepfather has already prepared her for the role.
