Chuck Loeb, a versatile guitarist, composer and producer best known for his associations with Stan Getz, Steps Ahead and Fourplay, died at 9:00 p.m. on July 31, according to his family. Loeb, whose compositions have been recorded by a wide variety of artists was 61 years old. He had suffered from cancer for several years.
Jazz 91.9 WCLK listeners and Atlanta Jazz fans know Chuck well. He has been through the WCLK studios on numerous times. The Jazz 91.9 WCLK 2015 Fall Benefit Concert featured Fourplay with Loeb on the guitar #RIP.
