WCLK is the Jazz AND public affairs of the city. We have been since 1974. Our current partnership with the Center for Cancer Research And Therapeutic Development at Clark Atlanta University is designed to increase awareness of prostate cancer, which kills a disproportionate number of African American men.
The radio part of this message debuted March 27 at 6pm on the station, pre-empting Tell Me More. Hosted by Barbara Washington, Your Health Connection will address prostate cancer, cancers of all types, and try to offer common sense building blocks for good health outcomes for you and your loved ones.
Guests on the first program include Dr. Donald Tindall of the Mayo Clinic, Research Pathologist Dr. Larisa Nonn, and Prostate Cancer Survivor (and WCLK Development Director)Reggie Hicks.
