Christmas is going to shine a little brighter this year for Grammy winning vocalist Lalah Hathaway. The beloved singer-songwriter just recorded a CGI version of the holiday classic, "This Christmas" with her late father and music icon, Donny Hathaway. Just like Natalie Cole did in 1991 with her late father Nat King Cole, Hathaway infused her vocals and image along with that of her father for a duet that is sure to bring a smile to anyone who loves that song and the Hathaway legacy.
"RESPECTFULLY, TV - its time to have me come sing This Christmas. Period. Quit playing with my daddy's record. God bless everyone," is what Lalah posted last week on her social media platforms, receiving positive comments from such music heavyweights as Robert Glasper, Pharrell Williams and Stephanie Mills.
Since that time, the "Somethin" singer has recorded the song, produced a glossy video for it and even appeared on the Sherrie Shepherd Show this afternoon.
