Jazz 91.9 WCLK - The Jazz of the City - 2013 Spring Membership Campaign takes place on Wednesday, March 13 through Sunday, March 24 with a lot of anticipation and excitement. The membership campaign theme is “Jazz all over, stronger than ever,” which follows WCLK’s recent coverage area increase last Fall. It has reenergized a community of Jazz lovers – some who are now receiving a clearer, stronger signal in their offices, homes and cars and, others who are discovering WCLK for the first time due to its extended reach.
This year, WCLK celebrates its 39th Anniversary and, listeners who become members of WCLK at an exclusive 39th Anniversary level will also receive VIP seating at the anniversary benefit concert on Wednesday, April 3, 7:30 PM at Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre. The WCLK 39th Anniversary Benefit Concert features legendary Keyboardist/Composer George Duke along with Saxophonist Gerald Albright. Contributions made during the upcoming Spring membership campaign comprises the largest source of support to sustain station operations. Jazz 91.9 WCLK is once again inviting business leaders and dignitaries ranging from college presidents to financial experts, to take a part in Signature Serenade each weekday during the membership drive where they play their favorite Jazz pieces, tell stories and, memories on Jazz at Sundown with Rivablue from 7:00 PM until 9:00 PM. During the campaign, a special “wake up” Gospel serenade will take place on Joy in the Morning with Rodney Evans, Sunday, March 17 from 7:00 AM until 9:00 AM. Joy in the Morning Signature Serenade guests will play some of their favorite Gospel music while fundraising for WCLK.
