Join me on Jazz Tones on Atlanta's Jazz Station 91.9 WCLK on Sunday afternoon at 3pm. My special guests will be The Fusion Chamber Ensemble, which will present its concert " Joy of Love: Expression of Life" on Sunday, February 17 at 5:00 p.m. at the Emory Performing Arts Studio in Northeast Atlanta. The performance will be the second installement in Fusion's 2018-2019 concert series, launched last October with "Metamorphosis: An Expression of Life."
Fusion Chamber Ensemble is the artistic union of Karin Banks's Aida Chamber Ensemble and Gerald Freeman's Jazz Men. They seek to explore the various manifestations of life through the Ensemble members' diverse music. In fact, the talented 10 member troupe of local musicians itself reflects the Ensemble's desire to "see the traditional chamber music format re-interpreted to allow for the performance of different genres of music, spoken word and dance."
