The Local Take: Faith In A Pandemic--Shabbat Shalom With Rabbi Steve Lebow

Saturday morning at 8am on WCLK's The Local Take I continued my conversations with faith leaders to share with us words of wisdom about Faith in a Pandemic.  This week I spoke with Rabbi Steve Lebow, the faith leader at Temple Kol Emeth in Cobb County. Rabbi Lebow explains that the only choice is to have faith.  He speaks about everyday faith being our spiritual core.  He also speaks about the pandemic of fear being stronger than the COVID-19 pandemic.

We speak about the Serenity Prayer and the simple words that many know.  Rabbi Lebow shares that while it is closely related to sobriety programs it is relevant no matter your faith.

When asked about his go to for when his faith falters, he speaks about the book of Psalms.  Rabbi Lebow went old school mentioning the 23rd Psalm which most know by heart. I had forgotten about the classic verse. "The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want..."

I asked Rabbi Lebow what he does if by chance he finds himself going down a negative mental rabbit hole, he shares that he trys to help someone else. We can always be of service to family, friends our community.
