Saturday morning at 8am on WCLK's The Local Take I speak with Yvette Cantrell from Bridgebuilders about their upcoming conference on Preparing for Caregiving, taking place on Saturday, July 20 from 9am until 2pm at the Dennard Conference Center at Atlanta Technical College.
Cantrell continues to preach that preparing for your senior years is the best way to enjoy them. The health forum this year will focus on preparing for caregiving. She explains that this includes all ages from 30 to 70. Most people only think of caregiving for seniors. Cantrell reminds us that sudden trauma such as car accidents can also result in the need for a caregiver.
She also shares that professional caregivers experience "caregiver stress" just like family members. She talks about resources that are available for both types of caregivers.
