The Local Take Talks CAU Blanket Drive, Homeless Outreach With Comfort Atlanta, Project UFirst

This week on The Local Take I speak with Trishunda Mooney, Editor-in-Chief at the Panther News about a campus blanket drive the includes Marcel and Melvin Middleton of Comfort Atlanta, Blanket the Streets and Erica Wright of Project UFirst

Trishunda Mooney shares with us that the CAU Panther News was looking for a campus/community wide opportunity that would engage students allowing everyone to end the school year on a high note. She came across the campaign that the Middleton brothers were starting Comfort Atlanta, Blanket the Streets that focuses on homeless veterans and their families. They are joined by Erica Wright from Project UFirst that works to provide homeless citizens with blankets, socks and jackets as the weather turns cold.

This team is dedicated to collecting as many items as possible between November 26th and December 7th. There are various drop off points throughout the Atlanta University Center and the community.

If you have lightly used clothing, blankets, jackets, socks or other items that are not being used, please share them with the CAU Panther News Blanket Drive.
