This week on The Local Take I share a joint project with the Fulton-DeKalb Hospital Authority which allowed me to attend HLTH The Future of Healthcare conference in Las Vegas last month. This inaugural conference was on the confluence of technology and healthcare. One of the most impactful panels, “Your Zip Code Supersedes Your Genetic Code,” included input from Robert Brook, Chair of Healthcare Services from the RAND Corporation. I spoke with Mr. Brook about his presentation and what he thinks about the Future of Healthcare in the USA.
Slides from this panel presented by Margaret Laws of HopeLab shows the life expectancy by zip code inGreater Las Vegas. Additionally, one of her slides ask women to provide answers in how they’d addressour country’s healthcare challenges. Two groups of women, Republican White Women and DemocraticAfrican American Women provided similar solutions to our country’s healthcare challenges. Listen to The Local Take on WCLK Saturday mornings at 8am.
