On the February 17 edition of The Local Take I speak with former prosecutor and member of television's The View Star Jones. Jones and I discuss the 2018 Power Rising Conference taking place in Atlanta. Jones is President and a member of the Board of Directors of National Association of Professional Women and Professional Diversity Network.
As one of the founders she shares with us information about the conference and how it came to be from a Congressional Black Caucus Women's meeting.
Star Jones goes on to explain that this conference is different from others as they are planning to leave with a agenda that can be implemented.
She asks for ladies in Atlanta to participate by attending or volunteering. Power Rising Conference for African American women is taking place February 22 - 25 at the Westin Peachtree Plaza Hotel.
