YemiConga is a professional percussionist, composer and session musician. Born in Lagos, Nigeria, he is a self-taught musician. He played regularly in the church choir and by the age of 17, YemiConga moved to Johannesburg, South Africa, where he worked with Lira, Zonke Dikana and many others. YemiConga studied the business of music through an online course with The Berklee School of Music.
Now based in Atlanta, YemiConga has recorded and worked with numerous artists including Pianist William Green, Drummer J Fly, and The Rivablue Band. His talent and creativity are natural spontaneous.
YemiConga admits writing songs for the Christmas season is difficult--"there are alot of great Christmas songs which have been written and played every year".
Conga has composed a fresh and catchy song with an African drum approach. At Christmas, is a new holiday song,written by YemiConga and produced by Dapo Dina, featuring vocaliss Tori Tseju, Oyinlansola Familegun, Addlib and Tiara Monique. At Christmas is for all to enjoy and celebrate the holidays.
