#UPFRONT feat. Holly Robinson Peete, Genesis Denise Hale & Kathia Woods (Audio + Video)

Check out this week's edition of UPFRONT Inside the Entertainment Industry. It features TV actress Holly Robison Peete, TV and film critic Kathia Woods and acting teen sensation Genesis Denise Hale.

ABC has released some first look images and trailers for its new fall lineup and here to chat about four of the shows is my fellow AAFCA member and host of the Cup of Soul podcast Kathia Woods. We'll be discussing https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3ZWaYHcPwjM">Queens with Eve and Brandy; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g6YpXU-ro-4">The Wonder Years with Don Cheadle, Saycon Sengbloh and Dule Hill; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6QJw19B-GqY">Women of the Movementfeaturing Adrienne Warren; and https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RltoT1ac6zA">Abbott Elementary with Sheryl Lee Ralph, Tyler James Williams and Quinta Brunson.

Iconic television star Holly Robinson Peete is back on Hallmark for another exciting season of Morning Show Mysteries. The one-hour drama features her as the crime solving Seattle-based TV chef Belinda “Billy”Blessings and is based on novels by NBC Today's Al Roker. During this segment, Holly opens up about playing such a multi-facted character and her new found respect for mystery show writers. This conversation comes from a recent https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RVpt9GKJ9cY">AAFCA Roundtable Discussion with Peete about the show and much more.

Closing out UPFRONT is Genesis Denise Hale from Showtime's popular Lena Waithe series The Chi. She stars as the sassy and bold Maisha, who like all of the other characters, will do whatever it takes to survive the mean streets of Chicago's Southside. I caught up with the multi-talented actress, poet, singer and emcee to chat about her character and much more.

Listen to the UPFRONT show and watch the first episode of the new fourth season of The Chi below: (CAUTION - Viewer Discretion is advised)
