Former runway model, fashion stylist and all around fashion maven Marcellas Reynolds is here to chat about his new art book "Supreme Models: Iconic Black Women Who Revolutionized Fashion." It chronicles the history and careers of African American female models with profiles and interviews featuring Bethann Hardison, Pat Cleveland, Beverly Johnson, Iman, Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks, Roshumba, Veronica Webb and more. He also addresses racism, colorism and "oneness" in the fashion industry.
In addition, Reynolds also joins me in saluting the classic Motown drama Mahogany starring Diana Ross and Billy Dee Williams. It turns 45-years-old this year and has inspired generations of models, stylists and designers.
TV One is premiering the second installment to its Coins for Christmas franchise this Sunday, July 19 at 8 p.m. with the new original movie Coins for Love. The romantic drama reunites audiences with single mother Madison Morris, played by Essence Atkins and former athlete turned sportscaster Alec Darby played by Stephen Bishop. Beloved actors Nia Long and Omar Epps have come together for a new romantic thriller titled Fatal Affair. Long stars as Elle, a lawyer who finds herself in a terrifying game of cat and mouse when a drink with an old friend, David (played by Epps) escalates into an obsession that jeopardizes everyone she loves. The film is Long’s first time behind the camera as a producer and she explains why this story was the right project for her. Epps also talks about playing the movie's villain and more.
