UPFRONT feat. Marcellas Reynolds + the stars of 'Fatal Affair' and 'Coins for Love' (VIDEO)

Check out this weekend's edition of UPFRONT Inside Atlanta's Entertainment Industry. It features author and fashion stylist Marcellas Reynolds, veteran actors Nia Long and Omar Epps from Fatal Affair and the cast of TV One's Coins for Love - Essence Atkins and Stephen Bishop.

Former runway model, fashion stylist and all around fashion maven Marcellas Reynolds is here to chat about his new art book "Supreme Models: Iconic Black Women Who Revolutionized Fashion." It chronicles the history and careers of African American female models with profiles and interviews featuring Bethann Hardison, Pat Cleveland, Beverly Johnson, Iman, Naomi Campbell, Tyra Banks, Roshumba, Veronica Webb and more. He also addresses racism, colorism and "oneness" in the fashion industry.

In addition, Reynolds also joins me in saluting the classic Motown drama Mahogany starring Diana Ross and Billy Dee Williams. It turns 45-years-old this year and has inspired generations of models, stylists and designers.

TV One is premiering the second installment to its Coins for Christmas franchise this Sunday, July 19 at 8 p.m. with the new original movie Coins for Love. The romantic drama reunites audiences with single mother Madison Morris, played by Essence Atkins and former athlete turned sportscaster Alec Darby played by Stephen Bishop. I caught up with the two actors during a recent TV One Round Table discussion where they talked about their characters and more.  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Moc313MzfIs">Click hereto watch the full conversation.

Beloved actors Nia Long and Omar Epps have come together for a new romantic thriller titled Fatal Affair. Long stars as Elle, a lawyer who finds herself in a terrifying game of cat and mouse when a drink with an old friend, David (played by Epps) escalates into an obsession that jeopardizes everyone she loves. The film is Long’s first time behind the camera as a producer and she explains why this story was the right project for her. Epps also talks about playing the movie's villain and more.

Ray Cornelius is one of Atlanta’s newest entertainment writers and media personalities. His arts and entertainment website, www.raycornelius.com spotlights the latest in “positive” African-American celebrity news and was established in 2012. Since that time Cornelius has covered a myriad of red carpet premieres, award shows and Atlanta-based films including Tyler Perry’s Temptation, The BronzeLens Film Festival, The Trumpet Awards, and The Steve Harvey’s Neighborhood Awards just to name a few. He has also interviewed a who’s who list of today’s top singers, actors and reality stars. With nearly 20 years of media experience, Cornelius has also worked as an associate producer for the Emmy-winning public affairs program, ATL Insider and with such award shows as The Soul Train Awards, The Trumpet Awards and BET Hip-Hop Awards.
