Just in case you missed it! Check out this past weekend's edition of UPFRONT Inside Atlanta's Entertainment Industry. The show features my conversation with Interim Associate Director for the Rialto Center for the Arts at Georgia State - LaVerne Perry. She stopped by to chat about the amazing lineup of programming for the new season including Atlanta's own Ms. Gladys Knight, Ailey II, Terence Blanchard and Dee Dee Bridgewater. Single Tickets go on sale August 1.
The show also features my conversation with actress Tamala Jones, who appeared in the TV One original movie, Deadly Dispatch. This true crime story chronicles the tragic murder of Shawn (played by Bone Crusher), a well-liked owner of a struggling taxi company. Jones plays Tiffany, a salon owner and Shawn's best friend, who suspects that his murder was orchestrated by his wife Amber (Dominique Perry).
The last segment features my one-on-one interview with iconic film and TV actor Clifton Powell. He stopped by to chat about the fourth season of his popular Bounce TV drama Saints & Sinners. He also talked very candidly about "working actors versus movie stars", the ups and downs of Hollywood, his most memorable characters like "Pinky" from Next Friday and much more.
UPFRONT Inside Atlanta's Entertainment Industry airs every Saturay morning at 9 a.m. on WCLK 91.9 and online at WCLK.com. It is hosted by yours truly Ray Cornelius.
