Saturday morning at 8am on WCLK's The Local Take I caught up with Elisabeth Omilami, Executive Director of Hosea Feeds The Hungry/Hosea Helps. Many people in our community know about the big events that Hosea Helps produces, the Holiday dinners and festivities around Easter, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Ms. Omilami tells us about what the organization and team does on a day-to-day basis. The organization has continued to grow as have the needs of our community have grown.
In the last few years Hosea Helps has also produced back to school programs offering dental screenings for students, among other resources. Additionally they provide resources for any insecure family in our community. From housing to food to jobs.
Besides donations, Ms. Omilami encourages us to get involved with Hosea Helps, by volunteering. They are looking for mentors, tutors and more.
