On the Saturday, September 3 edition of The Local Take we speak with La Detra White about her book  This is My Story, But It Is Not My Life.  The book is an anthology that offers real-life personal accounts authored by those who have overcome challenging, life-changing tragedies; broken and abusive childhoods; and, traumatic hardships to reach success. 

Ms. White shares with us how this book came about and, the participants who shared their stories of "faith" to overcome setbacks and reach their goals.

La Detra White goes on to share with us what she is doing with the profits from her book.

As an entrepreneur and, small business owner she is reaching out to support and bless other businesses in the community.  These businesses range from Gator's Bar B Q in Clarkston, GA to the Kupcakerie in East Point, GA.   She shares her blessings via social media  by rallying the overall community to support small businesses.
