Philadelphia's Josh Lawrence is one of Jazz music's pre-eminent young composers, leading the Fresh Cut Orchestra and gigging in smaller combos at Jazz clubs throughout the world.  On his new release Color Theory (on Posi-Tone Records), he plays with a smaller combo that includes:   Keyboardist Adam Faulk; Pianist Orrin Evans; Alto Saxophonist Caleb Curtis; and, Lawrence on trumpet.   The songs are original compositions by Lawrence and reflect the moods of various colors while expressing the finest in Straight-Ahead modern Jazz.  You can hear cuts from Color Theory at various times on Jazz 91.9 WCLK and WCLK HD2 in particular during Serenade To The City, Monday through Friday from 10:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m.
