Beyonce

Congratulations goes out to Ava DuVernay‘s epic Netflix drama When They See Us. The film about the “Central Park Five” (now referred to as the Exonerated Five) received 16 Emmy nominations this week including two for her in the categories of “Outstanding Directing” and “Outstanding Writing for a Limited Series” along with co-writer Michael Starburry.

Netflix has released the trailer for Beyoncé’s historic 2018 Coachella performance titled Homecoming. It airs on Wednesday April 17th.

Bey’s performance paid homage to America’s historically black colleges and universities and to the classic 1988 Spike Lee film School Daze.

Homecoming features candid footage and interviews detailing the preparation and powerful intent behind her vision. It also traces the emotional road from creative concept to cultural movement.
