Bob Baldwin

The first lady of the flute returns with a song that clearly states how easy it is for her to create good music. Off The Cuff finds Ragan and longtime collaborators Dennis Johnson and Bob Baldwin along with Phil Hamilton on guitar creating musical magic once again.  Off the Cuff is the kind of funky and fun song we’ve come to love from Ragan as she redefines the flute in the tradition of Bobbi Humphrey.

2020 will go down as a year to remember or one we may want to forget; one thing is for sure it had some memorable music. Several artists like Ragan Whiteside, Paul Hardcastle Phil Denny, Carol Albert and Julian Vaughn maintained their Billboard Smooth Jazz chart prowess. Some Jazz veteran acts like Spyro Grya, Kirk Whalum, Bob Baldwin and Hiroshima, showed they can still deliver despite all of the new artists emerging on the scene. As we ring in the new year Jazz 91.9 WCLK will countdown the Top 50 Smooth Jazz Songs of 2020.

Programming on Jazz 91.9 WCLK is made possible in part by City Sketches, Inc., presenting Bob Baldwin and Friends on Friday, December 11 and Sunday, December 13th. Bob Baldwin and Friends will feature Cafe Da Silva and Chembo Corniel on percussion, Dave Anderson on bass, Tony Lewis on drums, Bob Franceschini on sax, and Lori Williams on vocals. This is a live stream ticket event. More information is available at USAEventix.com or bobbaldwin.com.

Producer, keyboardist and radio show host, Bob Baldwin returns with Henna(City Sketches), his 31st full length project.  Bob assembles an all-star cast on the new record and the first single is Keep Movin'.

Award-Winning Producer and Keyboardist Bob Baldwin is back with a new project so appropriately titled for these times--Back To Basics(Family First).  This song is not full of studio tricks, it’s simply a nice smooth grooving song designed to relax your mind. In this current Covid-19 pandemic, it reminds us of what’s really important and that’s “Family First”.
