CAU Now presents a special conversation about safety, service and community in the aftermath of the August 20th incident adjacent to the Clark Atlanta University Campus. Our guest is CAU Student Derrick Daniels, who walked towards the aftermath to render first aid to a wounded student when others were fleeing. Daniels talks about how growing up in the Inglewood Community in Chicago prepared him to deal with the unexpected, and why his journey led him to Atlanta and Clark Atlanta University.

U.S. Department of Education Under Secretary Ted Mitchell visited Clark Atlanta University on Tuesday for a listening session with CAU students, as part of a national tour highlighting the Obama Administration's Higher Education Agenda.  He also stopped by WCLK to discuss college affordability and opportunity, as he leads efforts to reach President Obama’s 2020 goal, for our nation to once again have the largest proportion of college graduates in the world.

CAU's Peter Molnar, Ph.D., is an Associate Professor in the Clark Atlanta University Department of Computer and Information Science, who last week was among a select group of industry leaders chosen to deliver keynote addresses at the Atlanta branch of the "Big Data Week" global conference.

CAU Now on March 22 featured Interim Clark Atlanta University Vice President for Institutional Advancement and University Relations Trisa Long Paschal, who shared her vision for a strong and sustainable future for one of America's great HBCUs.  You can listen to that conversation on demand here.
