The nominations for the 49th NAACP Image Awards were announced this week and all I can say is Monday, January 15 is going to be lit! Sooooo many of our favorite TV shows like “Queen Sugar,” “Insecure” and “Atlanta” were nominated this year along with many of our favorite movies like “Marshall,” “Girls Trip,” and “Get Out.”

TV One’s show-stopping series LexusVerses And Flow  kicks off its fifth season TONIGHT beginning at 10 p.m. EDT.  Actor Laz Alonso returns to host the NAACP Image Award-nominated variety show that blends electrifying musical performances from chart-topping music stars alongside more than 28 talented poets offering soul-stirring spoken word pieces.
