The Local Take Talks Do or Die with Dr. Fahamu Pecou

Apr 11, 2019

Saturday morning at 8am on WCLK's The Local Take I will talk with Dr. Fahamu Pecou about his exhibition at the Michael C. Carlos Museum taking place now through April 28th.

Dr. Pecou explains his background and how he went from a student who was focused on being an animator to becoming a renowned fine artist.  He speaks about the differences in being a fine artist as opposed to a graphic artist.

Join me Saturday, January 7 at 7:00 a.m. on The Local Take on Jazz 91.9 WCLK. We sent out a clarion call for artists in our community to share their response to the New Year.   Fahamu Pecou, Alfred Conteh and Sheila Pree Bright joined us in the studio.

These fine artists share with us their response to the many challenges facing our communities today.

Make sure you all tune into my new arts & entertainment radio program, “UPFRONT Inside Atlanta’s Entertainment Industry.” It airs Saturday, August 27 at 9 a.m.

This week’s guests include actor Lamman Rucker from OWN’s hit series “Greenleaf.” He will be on to chat about the show and his new film, “Service to Man,” which premieres during the 2016 BronzeLens Film Festival.

Join Kiplyn Primus on  Jazz 91.9 WCLK, The Local Take, Saturday morning in the 7:00 a.m. hour as she is joined by Artist, Fahamu Pecou and Organized Noize's, Rico Wade.
