Georgia Aquarium

This week on The Local Take I talk about heart health with Brittaney Bethea, Director of Marketing and Communications for Morehouse School of Medicine. February is American Heart Month.  Heart disease is the leading cause of death for African American men and women in the United States.

This week on The Local Take I talked with Alma Davis, founder of the Alma G. Davis Foundation, about their upcoming "Dinner For Divas" event in celebration of 150 Domestic Violence survivors.

This is the 10th anniversary of the dinner which is taking place on Saturday, June 8th at the Georgia Aquarium. I ask Ms. Davis why she decided to host an event for survivors.
