Dee Brown is following up his 2020 hit The Prize with another strong effort that on the first listen reminds me of a ConFunkShun song.  ConFunkShun was one of the great funk bands of the 80’s. On Love You Too, from his third album Deep Secrets(Innervision), Dee takes a quick turn to deliver another gem for today’s new school of Jazz lovers.  The song is up-tempo with a cool bridge and Dee’s playing some of his best guitar.

Guitarist Blair Bryant is back with a song just right for the season. B’s Bounce will have doing just that as this Midwestern born and raised artist lays down some smooth yet funky tracks. It's a cut where you can open the sunroof, drop the top and turn up speakers and cruise to some great Jazz music.

This infectious single featuring Najee is an  uptempo tune designed to get your New Year off to a lively start.

Will Donato: The High Road

Oct 30, 2020

Will Donato is no stranger to the listeners of Jazz 91.9 WCLK as his previous releases You Got This and Infinite Soul were listener favorites. Will, an Aurora, Colorado native, is back with a high stepping single he calls The High Road along with a video highlighting the universal appeal of Jazz music. It’s also good for the genre as the video displays the broad demographic appeal of this song. I knew from the first notes The High Road would l find a home on the WCLK Playlist.

Dee Brown’s Smooth Talk has been a favorite of listeners of Jazz 91.9 WCLK for awhile. Now Dee is offering a new single on Innervison Records which he calls The Prize.  Well they say the prize goes to the winner, and if that’s the case listeners of WCLK are the winners. Guitarist Brown provides another groove for you to enjoy whether sitting at home or cruising on city streets or country highways. From the first note your ears perk up as the sounds  travel through your body providing three minutes and 44 seconds of musical delight.
