Amazon Studios have released some first look images from the highly anticipated sequel Coming2America

Amazon Studios has acquired worldwide rights to Coming 2 America from Paramount Pictures. This long-awaited sequel to the iconic comedy Coming to America will launch worldwide in over 240 countries and territories on Prime Video on March 5, 2021.

Congratulations goes out to Beyoncé Knowles-Carter. The Grammy-winning singer, actress and activist has been added to the live-action version of Disney’s “The Lion King.” The announcement was made this week with Bey’s image posted amongst all of the other film stars.

 

Beyoncé has been in serious talks with Disney about the role since this past spring and it’s now official! She joins a star-studded cast including Donald Glover as Simba along with James Earl Jones as Mufasa, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar and Alfre Woodard as Sarabi.

 

Congratulations goes to acclaimed Actor, Playwright and Director, Ruben Santiago-Hudson! The star of BET’s “The Quad” picked up a Tony Award nomination for Wilson‘s classic, “JITNEY.” The show also earned nominations for Best Revival of a Play and Best Performance by an Actor in a Featured Role in a Play for John Douglas Thompson.
