Check out last weekend's edition of UPFRONT Inside Atlanta's Entertainment Industry. It features my red carpet interviews from the Super Bowl Gospel Celebration which aired recently on BET. I got a chance to chat briefly with a number of the show's performers and presenters including gospel greats: Kirk Franklin and Tasha Cobbs-Leonard, newcomer Koryn Hawthorne and Greenleaf star Deborah Joy Winans.

Kenny Leon’s True Colors Theatre Company presents August Wilson’s King Hedley II now through March 11 at the Southwest Arts Center.

Set in the 1980s inner city Pittsburgh, ex-con King Hedley II peddles stolen refrigerators to save up for his own business and hopefully, a new life. Desperately fighting to overcome his record, family and a world that’s against him, King spends his time trying to plant seeds in a garden where nothing can grow. This becomes the perfect metaphor for his life and his dreams seemingly doomed to a violent end.
