Ryan Kilgore - A native of Atlanta, has been playing the soulful sounds of the saxophone since age 10. He is a fourth generation sax player his grandfather, Ester Betterson, bought Ryan's first horn. He has worked with musical legends including Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis as well as Stevie Wonder. Ryan has made cameo appearances in 20th Century Fox's Drumline, Paramount Pictures' Fighting Temptations, and Tyler Perry's Diary of a Mad Black Woman.

A BIG congratulations goes out to actress Tina Lifford and filmmakers Ayoka Chinzera and Samantha Vincent. The ladies were honored recently during the Women Superstars Luncheon at the 2018 BronzeLens Film Festival.  

The event took place at the illustrious Atlanta Marriott Marquis and was hosted by HGTV star and media maven Egypt Sherrod.

 

This week's edition of UPFRONT features my red carpet interviews with the cast of John Singleton’s dramatic series, “Snowfall.” The show returns to FX for a second season beginning this Thursday, July 19 at 10 p.m.

I also chat with actress and gospel music sensation Latrice Pace about starring in the Actor’s Express new production of “The Color Purple.” She also opens up about her new single, "Shadow" and her Broadway aspirations.
