This week on WCLK's The Local Take(Saturdays 8am), I reached out to Andrea Young, Executive Director of the Georgia ACLU office, to discuss the voter suppression law recently passed in Georgia.

Over 48 states are considering voter suppression laws similar to the one passed in our state.

This week on WCLK's The Local Take(Saturday mornings at 8am), we're speaking with Chef Kevin Ashford about this year's upcoming Family Food Fest, the festival that celebrates fathers and food. The Food Fest has entertained fathers and families for over ten years. This year it will take place on Sunday, June 20th, between 3PM - 6PM with limited capacity. As always, there will be activities for children and a health pavilion with information and resources on remaining healthy. 

This week on WCLK's The Local Take(Saturdays 8am), I’m speaking with Mary Parker about her foundation providing resources and information about summer programs for children in our community.  Ms. Parker is the founder of All-In-One Security, and she realized that some of her employees were single mothers who needed resources for the children in the summertime.  

Saturday morning at eight, WCLK's The Local Take talks about the Atlanta Business League and the 42nd Annual CEO Appreciation Luncheon. The year's event will be virtually and take place on Tuesday, June 15th at 11:30AM.  Tiffany Callaway Ferrell, co-chair of this year's event, shares highlights.

The Marietta Theatre in the Square is starting live productions again with our own Stepp StewartThe Stepp Stewart’s Motown Motor City Revue production begins on June 4th and will run through August 1st, 2021.  The new production features local talent, including Avis LaShawn, LaMonte Williams, and Lauren Highsmith.
