New Music: Michael Lington/Silver Lining

Jun 26, 2019

Michael Lington grew up in Copenhagen, Denmark, and was already on his way to being an accomplished musician by the time he moved to America, the land of his favorite musicians--David Sanborn, Michael Brecker, King Curtis, Hank Crawford, Cannonball Adderley, and Grover Washington. He's made a name for himself in Contemporary Jazz in the years since, and Silver Lining(Copenhagen Music) is his 10th release. Lington prefers to record all of the musicians in studio at the same time, for a warmer sound.  You can hear the title track on Atlanta's Jazz Station 91.9 WCLK.
