As we ring in the New Year many of your favorite Jazz artists are releasing new music. Guitarist Blake Aaron jumpstarts 2021 with Sunday Strut, the third single from his Color and Passions full length released in September of 2020. This infectious single featuring Najee is an  uptempo tune designed to get your New Year off to a lively start.

Programming on Atlanta's Jazz Station 91.9 WCLK is presented in part by Banks Enterprises, presenting the 4th Annual Gulf Coast Summer Fest Jazz Edition, happening Saturday and Sunday August 31-September 1 Labor Day Weekend at Pensacola Maritime Park along the Gulf in Pensacola, Florida. Great news for Contemporary Jazz lovers as Najee has a new record out on Shanachie Entertainment, Poetry In Motion. This release includes guests:  Will Downing, Maysa, Incognito, Eric Roberson and Phil Perry, among others.  You can hear cuts from Poetry In Motion at various times on  Jazz 91.9 WCLK in particular during Serenade To The City, Monday through Friday from 10:00 p.m. until 2:00 a.m.   

March 10 - 11: Orlando Jazz Festival

Programming on Jazz 91.9 WCLK is made possible in part by the inaugural 2017 Orlando Jazz Festival, taking place March 10 - 11 at the Seneff Arts Plaza of the Dr. Phillips Center for the Arts in Orlando, Florida.  Feature performances will include:  Mark Antoine, Euge Groove, Peter White, Kirk Whalum, Boney James, Alex Bugnon, Paul Taylor, Marion Meadows, Ken Ford, Maysa, Najee and many more.  The Festival will be hosted by Jay Anthony Brown.  Ticket information is available at orlandojazzfest.com.

WCLK Hosts Najee Talks Wolf Creek Jazz Festival

Friend of Jazz 91.9 WCLK and all around Jazz Saxophone and Flute Virtuoso, Najee stopped by the WCLK Studios to chat with Jamal Ahmad on the SOUL of Jazz.  Jamal talked with Najee about his musical journey and his appearance Saturday, September 3 during day two of three amazing days of Contemporary Jazz at the Wolf Creek Jazz Festival.  The Festival culminates on Sunday, September 4.
