Programming on Jazz 91.9 WCLK is made possible in part by William Banks Enterprises, Inc., presenting the 5th Annual Gulf Coast Summer Fest Jazz Edition, taking place Labor Day Weekend, September 5th and 6th at the Pensacola Community Maritime Park in Pensacola, Florida. This weekend will be hosted by WCLK's own Morris Baxter. It will include performances by Euge Groove, Norman Brown, Lindsey Webster, Gerald Albright, Alex Bugnon, Eric Darius and many others. A Kick-Off Party takes place Friday night featuring Julian Vaughn and friends at the Sanders Beach Corrine Jones Community Center in Pensacola.

Events begin at 7pm at the Renaissance Concourse Atlanta Airport Hotel, located at One Hartsfield Center Parkway in Atlanta. Entertainment features Ken Ford, The King of Strings, with special guest Guitarist Norman Brown and Vocalist Phillippia. They will play live as the New Year arrives. WCLK's SOUL of Jazz Host Jamal Ahmad will be your host for this event.

Atlanta Resident Norman Brown has been playing guitar since he was an eight year old in Shreveport, Louisiana. He has taken his early influences of Jimi Hendrix, The Isley Brothers and Wes Montgomery and fashioned a musical career that has generated number one chart hits, collaborations with Kirk Whalum and Rick Braun(BWB), and even bed music for the local forecasts on The Weather Channel. His latest release on Shanachie Entertainmment is called The Highest Act of Love, and drops this week.
