Serenade To The City on WCLK

Lin Rountree: Fluid

Jul 27, 2020

Trumpeter Lin Rountree returns with a song that lives up to its name with Fluid (Trippin’ N Rhythm).  A fluid is known to take the shape of its container, and this song will compliment whatever you are doing. Smooth and funky at the same time, if you want to do some toe tapping & head bobbing or just chill with that special someone, Fluid will fit the occasion.

If ever a song’s title was appropriate for the times, Tony Craddock Jr.’s  Staycation (Cold Front Music) is it!  Tony’s saxaphone comes through clearly on this song that reflects relaxation or fun depending on your  particular mood.

Ragan Whiteside continues to release Billboard chart scoring music. A streak that began in 2019 continues, as we reach the second half of 2020.

The new release from Motor City based Keyboardist Motown Moe is perfect for what its title says-- Sunday Driver. Some would call it cruising music. Listening to this song will conjure up images of riding with the windows or top down as you cruise along a scenic highway.  This single on Motown Moe's own Windee Records is from his eighth full length recording called the The New Normal, and it features Blake Aaron on guitar. This single can be heard on Jazz 91.9 WCLK where unsigned artists still get an opportunity to have their music exposed.

Paul Hardcastle can be called a music producing machine as he keeps churning out songs. This new single Latitude follows his Dancing Galaxies and it features the signature "Hardcastle Sound", which has made Paul a core artist in the Groove/Smooth Jazz format for  many years.  Latitude is a mellow track with a little toe tapping  quality that will make you want to move your head while chilling with that special someone. It's the first single off of his upcoming album Paul Hardcastle 9 on Trippin N Rhythm Records.
