Serenade To The City on WCLK

Blake Aaron is back with a new single and album, titled Daylight on Innervision Records. It features Blake’s signature guitar strumming on a song that has an island flavor. The song takes you to the beach or a tropical place where you can imagine waking to the first signs of daylight! Blake has been delivering Jazz radio hit after hit and his winning streak doesn’t seem to be slowing down. This song is great for riding, chilling or whatever you may decide to do. I felt this is one WCLK listeners would enjoy.

Ashleigh Smith returns with a song that on first listen reminds us why she was the winner of the Sarah Vaughn International Jazz Vocal Competition in 2014. Her debut album Sunkissed was released on Concord Records in 2016. Let It Rain (TopCat Records) is her first single since 2017 features fellow songbird Chantae Cann.

Coming off the success of Carmanology which featured 3 singles including the Billboard Smooth Jazz Top 5 Hit State of Mind, Allen Carman returns with Rosario (Allen Carmen Project), the lead track from the forthcoming album by the same name. Rosario is a tribute to the late Saxophonist Gato Barbieri.

David Garfield is back with Sweetness, a song that will make you move. David enlists the talents of Gerald Albright & Rick Braun who bring their distinctive sound to this track. Sweetness (Creachy Records) features a who’s who when it comes to musicianship: Paul Jackson Jr., “Ready” Freddie Washington, and Toto’s Lenny Castro.  This smooth groove is perfect whether sheltered in place or moving freely.

New Music: Four80East Ba Ba Brazil

Apr 20, 2020

The Canadian duo Four80East started as a studio concept group in Toronto by Rob DeBoer and Tony Grace. They scored the biggest Smooth Jazz song of 2019 as Cinco Cinco Seis landed atop Billboard’s Smooth Jazz Top 50. They kick off 2020 with a new release Bra Bra Brazil from their full length effort Straight Round, on Boomtang Records.  This song continues to pay ode to the sounds of South America.
