Saturday, July 30 at 7:30 a.m. during Dr. Judi The People's Advocate on Jazz 91.9 WCLK , Social Worker Dr. Judi Crocker-Billingsley engages with the community about the issues surrounding what is called the School To Prison Pipeline.  The  trend is an American mechanism to adopt policies and practices that push our nation's schoolchildren, especially our most at-risk children, out of classrooms and into the juvenile and criminal justice systems. This pipeline reflects the prioritization of incarceration over education. We live in an era of Zero Tolerance Policies, when schoolyard fights end up in arrests and expulsions.

Dr. Judi is joined in the studio by two of her Social Work students who are now working daily in the middle of public schools in the Atlanta area at the very front lines of these issues:  Clifton Crawley with Dekalb County Schools and Melanie Hall with Cobb County Schools.
