WCLK's Midday Jazz Swing Host Rivablue will be joined by vocalists Kemba Cofield and JeanIsJasmine for an interpretation of the music of the late great Phyllis Hyman, in an event that is happening at Cafe 290 in Sandy Springs on Wednesday November 12. They will be joined by Kevin Osborn on keys, Ray McMurty on bass and drummer Emrah Kotan.
Rivablue: Phyllis Hyman was a singer, songwriter, and actress. Her songs were filled with passion and emotion. Everybody loved her. The way she would interpret the lyrics to any song would captivate an audience.
