Bob Cranshaw played bass on all those records. Monk, Montgomery, Fitzgerald, Gordon, Hubbard, McLean, Mobley, Shorter, Silver, Tyner and many, many more. He's recorded and toured on bass for Sonny Rollins since 1962. With Composer Joe Raposo he helped create the musical accompaniment to Sesame Street and The Electric Company, bringing a jazz and funk vibe to generations of children's entertainment.

He is in town visiting family and dropped by WCLK. After he finished bowing and saying his "I am not worthies", Jamal Ahmad talked with Cranshaw on the air during the Soul of Jazz (Mon-Fri 2p-7p). You never know who's going to drop in at 91.9 WCLK.
