Check out photos from Day One of the Atlanta Jazz Festival.  The free music extravaganza is one of the country’s most recognized festivals and featured amazing performances by Grammy-winning vocalist Dianne Reeves along with Yoko Miwa Trio, Tia Fuller Quartet and the Ingrid Jensen Collective.

Rising jazz icon Jazzmeia Horn graced the Contemporary Jazz Stage along with Thumbscrew, Anat Cohen Quartet and the incomparable Terri Lyne Carrington & Social Science.

Of course, Atlanta’s Jazz Station—WCLK 91.9— was broadcasting live from the park and featured interviews with Richie Goods and the Good Project along with TV and film star Keshia Knight-Pulliam and reality starlet Malaysia Pargo. The ladies were representing the new social media app SpokeHub.

The festival continues on Sunday (May 27) with performances from the Lao Tizer Quartet featuring Eric Marienthal, the Russell Malone Quartet, The Bad Plus and Jon Batiste with the Dap Kings.  Antoine Roney Trio featuring Kojo Roney, Morgan Guerin and Matthew Whitaker are also performing on the Next Gen Stage.
