The Local Take promotes Diabetes Awareness Month this November by speaking with Publix Pharmacist, Ashley Johnson, about their events taking place Saturday, November 7 at various stores in Greater Atlanta. These hour-long diabetes workshops will educate consumers about healthy food choices, counting carbohydrates and the basics around living with and preventing diabetes.  The events are scheduled throughout the day at 10:00 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. on  Saturday, November 7 across the Atlanta area.

Publix has "Green Choice" labels on their store shelves marking the best choices for diabetics to choose.  Also, Publix pharmacists are available to answer your questions about diabetes.
