April 10: Jay Edwards Interviews Tom Lellis On Jazz Tones

Tom Lellis is a native of Cleveland, Ohio and a singer, composer, and lyricist and multi-instrumentalist who resides in Brooklyn. Tom has been singing professionally since age 15,  and by 21  he was working with Ray Charles and Gregory Hines with a 15 piece band. He honed his skills opening shows for Dizzy Gillespie, Bill Evans and Jimmy Smith, among others.  His recent release The Flow is his eighth CD features a variety of Tom's original compositions and seasoned musicians such as Johnathan Blake; Cuban Percussionist, Orlando "Maraca" Valle;  Toninho Horta; Ed Howard; and Gary Fisher.  I will interview Tom Lellis Sunday, April 10 between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on Jazz Tones, exclusively on Jazz 91.9 WCLK.
