This week on WCLK's The Local Take we're talking about the National Professional Social Work Month with Terrilyn Rivers-Cannon, School Social Worker of The Year for 2019.

I ask Ms. Rivers-Cannon about social workers and what it means to be part of this profession. She explains that there is a national month for professional social workers to increase awareness about Social Work as a career. She  shares information about what type of personality would make a good social worker.

Ms. Rivers-Cannon shares what a "day in the life" of a school social worker looks like, she explains that it will vary depending on  the needs of your clients.
