This week on The Local Take I speak with Ron Escoffery, Board Member and Treasurer of the Jamaican Chamber of Commerce Atlanta about their upcoming awards banquet on Saturday, April 20. Escoffery shares that the Jamaican Chamber of Commerce Atlanta is an organization to support immigrants not only for Jamaicans but for people from throughout the Caribbean.  They work to educate and provide resources to emerging and established entrepreneurs. From restaurants to engineering firms the Jamaican Chamber is a place where business owners can come together in support of each other and their home country.

This year the awards banquet will honor three entities, a business, a person and an organization doing great work not only in Atlanta but at home.  The Prime Minister of Jamaica, Andrew Holness, O.N., M. P. ,will address the banquet and honorees.
