Alliance Theatre presents 'TONI STONE' February 10-27 (VIDEO)

Milwaukee Repertory Theater

The Alliance Theatre is celebrating Black History Month with a new theatrical production based on the life and ground-breaking career of the first woman to play baseball in the Negro Leagues and the first woman to play professionally in a men's league. TONI STONE takes audiences back in time and chronicles her iconic journey as she fights for love, equality and a chance to do what she wants the most —- play some world class baseball. The show is written by Lydia R. Diamond and is directed by Atlanta's own Tinashe Kajese-Bolden. Declared the Best New Play of 2019 by The Wall Street Journal, TONI STONE is a funny and fascinating story of race, gender, and raw ambition...and an unheralded superstar you'll never forget.

TONI STONE is a co-production with Milwaukee Repertory Theater.
