This family-friendly festival highlights the rich legacy of innovation and creativity from the city’s emcees, producers, DJs, dancers and street artists. Curated by Atlanta Beltline Art and event producer RAPPORT, ATL Park Jam celebrates Atlanta's deep, rich and unique influence on hip-hop.

Vitality Safety Group will be providing CPR, First Aid, and AED training at the Louise Watley Library at Southeast Atlanta Branch. There is absolutely No Cost to attend. CPR cards sold separately. Those who need or would like a certification card will be required to purchase a course handbook in order to become certified.

The Municipal Market of Atlanta, also known as the Sweet Auburn Curb Market, marks its 100-year anniversary with a celebration and press conference featuring Atlanta Mayor Andre Dickens on Oct. 18, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. The event will include remarks from Mayor Dickens, free guided historical tours, and food tastings from market vendors.

The Black Child Book Fair is a traveling event that has promoted literacy in the black communities since 2019, by bringing independent black authors from across the country with characters and stories for children of color to be inspired by and learn from. Discover a wide selection of books written by Black authors and featuring Black protagonists. From fantasy adventures to historical tales, there's something for every curious mind. Meet local authors and illustrators, and maybe even find a new favorite book to take home. Don't miss out on this celebration of Black literature and creativity!
LakeFest is a two-day festival on the shores of beautiful Pine Lake, Georgia, featuring the best that Pine Lake has to offer by way of artists and crafters, live music, health and wellness vendors, festival food and family friendly fun. There are chalk art and sand sculpture contests at the beach with prizes, a Pet Parade, a Kids' Carnival with fall crafts and a puppet show, street performers, and the Pine Lake Paddlepalooza, a floating parade and races on the Lake with prizes!The juried art market will feature handmade work by 40 local and regional artists. Musical highlights will include a Flash Mob, a Marching Band, and music-all-day-long with a dozen musicians and bands on the lakeside Festival Stage. Pine Lake is located 12 miles east of Atlanta, between Decatur and Stone Mountain. Admission and parking are free. Park on Rockbridge Road near the entrance to the city and take a free shuttle to lakefront.
Come join us on October 19, 2024 from 12 PM to 8 PM as we host our annual African American Culture and Arts Festival at Suwanee Town Center Park, in Suwanee, GA. This will be a free event, and all are welcome to come and enjoy our cultural festival! This will be an open-air family friendly festival. We will have live performances throughout the day, bounce houses, and food, merchandise and art vendors. Unlike a typical parade, this event hosted by Chantelle Rytter and the Krewe of the Grateful Gluttons will be stationary. We invite you to stroll around the pond and through the parade — or create your own Weird Thing and join the upside down parade with us. Attendees are also welcome to pack a picnic and have a seat at the amphitheater to catch the entire experience.
