MARCH 4: Joe Gransden + Robin Latimore salute Johnny Mercer at GSU's Rialto Center

Georgia State's Rialto Center for the Arts presents its annual celebration of music icon Johnny Mercer on Saturday, March 4 at 8pm.

Georgia’s own Johnny Mercer wrote the lyrics to over 1,400 songs, including "Moon River," "Hooray for Hollywood," "Days of Wine and Roses," and "Autumn Leaves. He also earned 19 Oscar nominations and won four "Best Original Song" Oscars. Hard-bop trumpeter and vocalist Joe Gransden and special guest vocalist Robin Latimore join Georgia State’s Jazz Band in a tribute to Mercer’s incomparable legacy.
