OCT. 20: Friday Jazz presents Fernanda Noronha & Peu Pereira

Join Jazz 91.9 WCLK on Friday, October 20 from 6pm until 10pm for Friday Jazz. This month, the High Museum of Art is turning up the heat with Afro Latin Jazz sensations Fernanda Noronha and Peu Pereira.

In addition to the music, Friday Jazz at the High patrons will get to enjoy the museum's most current exhibitions:  In the City of Light: Paris, 1850-1920 and A Long Arc: Photography and the American South Since 1845.

Artists Fernanda Noronha and Peu Pereira (born in Salvador, Brazil) perform throughout the United States in major events, shows, and festivals. They are best known for their contemporary Brazilian music with a repertoire of samba, bossa nova, “Afro-Brazilian beats,” and jazz. Fernanda Noronha conceived the show “Made in Brazil” in 2016 and modified it in 2018 with multi-instrumentalist Peu Pereira to include more songs of Brazilian popular music as well as songs of their own creation. The show won the Brazilian International Press Award in the category “Best Brazilian show in USA” in 2017.

Friday Jazz at the High is hosted by WCLK's very own Jamal Ahmad. Click here for tickets!
