World-renowned soul star AverySunshine is ready to celebrate love, life, family, and fans as she prepares to release her fifth studio album this summer. Aptly titled "So Glad To Know You," the album finds Sunshine digging deep and taking a journey through the ebbs and flows of truly getting to know yourself and the ones you love around you.
“So Glad To Know You” will feature production from Grammy-nominee Jamison Ross and her husband and frequent collaborator, Dana "Big Dane" Johnson, along with songwriting assists from Sunshine’s daughter DREWTHEREW, Kreion, John Michael Rouchell & Rob Milton. The Billboard chart-topping songstress creates a beautifully soulful and honest body of work here that, fortunately for us all, does not stop with the music.
Today (Friday, January 26), marks the launch of the lead single "Lifted Up," which will be accompanied by a music video that doubles as the pilot episode for a limited digital theatrical series. The series will find Sunshine bringing songs from the album to life in a new and refreshing way. This project is a labor of love that has been put together by an all-star team of creatives including Director Steven Jon, Producer Kara Lieff and Milton again, this time as Creative Director.
The journey to "So Glad To Know You" begins now and will reintroduce fans, friends, and listeners to AverySunshine and her BigShine Music imprint as the year progresses.
