JUNE 7: AVPRIDE presents 'Jazz Under the Stars' featuring Joey Sommerville

Join WCLK 's Morris Baxter this Friday, June 7 for "Jazz Under The Stars," featuring the Georgia return of world-renowned trumpet player Joey Sommerville (@PapaJsez) and his band from 5:00-9:00 p.m. at The Peninsula: Town at Trilith in Fayetteville, GA.

The concert benefits nonprofit AVPRIDE’s vital year-round programs, empowering youth leadership development (Mission/History). Tickets (tax-deductible) are on sale now HERE.  General admission tickets are $55, and VIP tickets ($125) include a special Culinary Snack Box by Prologue Trilith Chef Thomas Parker, Mocktail, and Drink tickets. Dress is Casual.
 
A music industry leader/musician/producer/singer-songwriter, Sommerville has performed with a wide range of artists from the jam-rock icon group Phish to hip-hop hitmaker Jazze Pha. In addition, Somerville has been featured on numerous recordings, including Hidden Beach Records’ “Unwrapped Vol. 4” as well as the Cirque du Soleil's Juno Award-winning and Grammy-nominated, “Alegria.” His 2015 debut solo album, “Overnight Sensation,” received a ringing endorsement from USA Today. He also served two terms on the Grammys/The Recording Academy (NARAS) Atlanta chapter’s Board of Directors.
